You don't know this though do you? All we know is the purse strings have been tightened. You said the other day that you know he's looking for a buyer so surely it would make sense that he wants to sp

It's not the outlay on transfers that's the problem. Lerner knows of he pays £1m on 17 players he knows he'll probably make that money back when they're sold. Wages are money down the drain unless you

Aiden McGeady (27, Spartak Moscow, the market value: 7.5 million)

i read somewhere a while back that hes on 150k a week, so even though i think he be good addition and within our price range as a target, he be dropping his wages by around 110k if it was to stick to the plan. good left foot pacey winger though, plenty of miles left in him and seems to be on form of late for the international squad and also the russians.

i would say u could get him for 5m considering he be on a free at the end of the season though he could turn out to be aiden mc greedy :D

He is on £150k a week....! :-|

I don't watch Ireland often, but when they're on the box I'll flick over to watch them if England aren't on or if I'm at my Granddads it'll be on! But whenever I've seen him, he seems pants! I remember him giving the ball away often or dribbling it into trouble or out of play, but as I said I don't watch them often so he might have had off games?

under MON he seems to have alot more freedom compare to playing under trappatoni. i would agree with u that i have seen some games and i be shouting to take him off and put on mcclean. though it seems like he has alot more confidence playing under MON and the ball and chain has been taken off his foot for a more of a free roll. hes not actually flying down the wing all the time either now but have seen him coming into the middle alot more often which i fail to remember him doing under trap.

i think it was last year or the year before that he came 2nd or 3rd player of the year in russia. i cant remember i would need to check it to verify. hes also in some mad dispute with moscow as he keeps saying he wants to go to the premier league lol, not exactly sure the facts, i dont keep up tabs on him. wages though for any team if the 150k is correct would be a massive stumbling block

Yeah, I can't see many teams wanting to give him 50k a week plus, let alone the 150k that he's currently on; when he hasn't proved himself in a top league or even for Ireland! Maybe he's hoping QPR get promoted!
Glad to hear he's doing better for Ireland though!

From that list I would take or at least talk to:

Igor Akinfeev

Guillermo Ochoa

Younès Kaboul

Joleon Lescott

Fábio

Manuel Fernandes

Fernando

Jérémy Menez

I doubt PL will bother with any though.

Akinfeev

Batra

Lescott

Kaboul

Fernando

Halilovic (potentially world class)

Menez

Long

but Lambert wont go for any even though they are free and then he will moan how the budget is tight
