  1. Thought Whelan actually changed the game today. Jedinak was terrible, an absolutely atrocious all round performance. Gave the ball away sooo many times it was ridiculous. Thought Whelan actually got the ball and played it to his his own team at least! Also thought Hourihane had a decent game, not great but don't think he did too much wrong. Hutton, Taylor and Jedi I completely agree with you, all terrible tonight. Not a great performance at all but to come back from 3 down with 10 minutes left HAS to give us a massive boost for the extremely difficult fixtures we have coming up. If it doesn't then I don't know what will. We have to improve all round.
  2. Seeing our back 4 for today's game is extremely worrying for me. Was fairly confident, not quite so sure now... C'mon Villa!!
  3. I'd agree with that line-up. Would probably swap Thor for Whelan though, think Whelan has been good this season so far. Don't think he can play every game though but as we've had a 2 week break I'd have him in over Thor. Would play Thor in home games when Whelan has played a few days before for the fresh legs. Knowing Bruce it will be the same as the last game.....
  4. Exciting signing. Not seen a great deal of him but what have seen has been good.
  5. f*ck sake, that is NEVER a penalty. More shocking refereeing.......
  6. wow, feel like we must have been watching 2 different games! The first hour was the best I've seen from us since the Wolves game last season, thought we were fantastic. Winning all the 50/50's, closing down all over the pitch, getting it forward quickly, we were just lacking that final ball. Their goal came from 1 of their 2 attacks in the first half, completely against the run of play. We should/could have been 2 up at HT. Should have been a man up too, blatant red card for Maupay. The only time I thought we looked really dodgy at the back was after they went ahead. They could easily have scored a 3rd and finished it. Would love to know why Bruce thought taking one of our best attackers on the night (Adomah) and bringing on Green was a good move. If we beat Reading on Saturday I think this will still be seen as a decent point.
  7. REALLY poor first 15 mins.....

Agree about Taylor but he is the only LB we currently have.... Unless we play Hutton at LB and move Elmo to RB then Taylor is gonna have to play. In regards to Jedi or Whelan having to play, I agree that they should for certain games for sure but I would love for us to go for it a bit more in the Home games that we should realistically be winning, instead of trying to grind out a victory. My team posted above is who I would like to see play, not who I think will play.

For me - Nyland Hutton Chester Tuanzebe Taylor Hourihane McGinn Grealish Green Kodjia Adomah
  10. Wasn't particularly expecting to sign anyone on a permanent today, we have till end of August to get in Loan deals so I fully expect 2 or 3 more to come in by then. Def need a striker as I've heard Hogan and Davis are out for a while. Also - GARDNER JOINS BIRMINGHAM Birmingham have signed Aston Villa midfielder Gary Gardner on a season-long loan.

I'm in, absolutely terrible at it though...
  12. Looks like we are doing some good business in the last few days. Hopefully keeping Grealish & Chester and adding some quality at the back in Tuanzebe and Bryan (Not confirmed yet) and a great little midfielder in McGinn by the sounds of it. Would like to see us get a couple of attacking players in before the window closes, preferably a striker and a winger. Got till end of August for loans though so no need to rush tomorrow.
