  1. Cardiff City 3 Aston Villa 0

The train home was a bit of a laugh too even after such a bad defeat. Can only imagine it after a win one day!
  2. Cardiff City 3 Aston Villa 0

You go to some games, lose and people in the ground, on the train etc. have differing opinions on things. Yesterday everyone I spoke with had exactly the same opinion.. that it was just utter bollocks! Way to ruin all that pre season optimism in less than 90 minutes and another good day out ruined by the football. Keep that up and those big numbers we get travelling all over the place will dwindle. My mate who'd never been away before can't understand why people keep going and paying for the 'pleasure' of it when it's that bad, I don't know myself. I for one am glad I'm at work on Tuesday night and not going to Reading, never thought I'd say that!
  3. Away Tickets and Travel

Yeah koln has a nice 4 sided stadium and also only an hour from Dortmund so if the fixtures fell right would be a great weekend.
  4. Away Tickets and Travel

The piece about Dortmund is pretty bang on, hoping to get over there again this season. Can't fault it at all! Düsseldorf is a great night out too.
  5. Away Tickets and Travel

Where will villa fans be drinking on Saturday at Cardiff? Went in January and was directed to the walkabout which tbh was sh*t as security were throwing at anyone singing or just generally having fun. Taking someone their first away game so want it to be memorable for them! (If the team can't at least)
  6. Wigan away

I've not seen anything on sky, they usually announce their tv fixtures for say march so many weeks before, must've missed it. Great it's a Saturday, we'll have the whole stand and it's a doddle to get to by train.
  7. Wigan away

Does anybody know if this fixture is a confirmed time and date next month? Sure they would've announced if it was on tv or not by now.
  8. Nottm Forest 2 Aston Villa 1

I think elphick is exactly what we need in our team, a natural leader from the back. Problem for him has been displacing Chester and baker but Tuesday changed that. I don't think he'll drop either of them and go for a solid 3 at the back with the wing backs supporting when needed. Gotta have 2 up top now we have hogan
  9. Forest Away

Thanks to Corny and the forum for a ticket! Please let me see an away goal!
  10. Forest Away

I'd have it if possible then
  11. Forest Away

How do you go about doing that?
  12. Henri Lansbury

Seems like he's on the brink of signing according to reports
  13. Aston Villa 2 Preston 2

Wasn't the 19th minute applause for petrov our idea that has gone on to be done at many other clubs at various times of the match? Not sure where the phone light thing originates (Maybe celtic?) but the 72nd minute idea would originate from our 19th minute thing for petrov.
  14. Dortmund vs Koln

When you look back at our Europa league group years ago when we had Ajax, Hamburg and Prague (Slavia was it?), what a draw that was boozy trips to Europe. Shame it didn't include Amsterdam with the round robin format at the time. haha I didn't go to the Reeperbahn for that so I've no idea how much it costs, the street with the windows is behind a fence to stop children/families seeing it and wandering down. There is other places on the main road, got a picture of the one which was massive and pink simply called 'Sex House', can't remember what their prices were but I don't think it was more than what they charge in Amsterdam. It's very, very close to the Millerntor where St. Pauli play so pretty handy to wander to after the match! You'll get a ticket for the Dortmund game no problem, just keep checking back closer to the time. I printed my tickets at home (Do like to keep stubs usually) to save messing around and drinking time when I got there especially with 80,000 people trying to get in. The fans on the Yellow Wall get in quite early too because it's terracing to get their spot, so get in early and take it in. Beer is about €3.50ish per half litre inside the ground and you won't be queuing for it like here, you load money onto a card and it's all very quick with many people selling it. There's also a good bar behind the South Stand (Yellow Wall) which is a swimming club turned outdoor bar that sells beer for €2.50 per half litre before you go in. Hope you get to see as many goals as me!
  15. Dortmund vs Koln

Just thought I'd throw in my 2 pence here... went to Dortmund v Wolfsburg (5-1) last season and Dortmund v Darmstadt (6-0) this season, absolutely brilliant as you can imagine especially given the scorelines. I flew into Düsseldorf on the day of both matches early in the morning from Brum (Both Flybe and Eurowings fly there Sat morning and back Sunday morning), your match ticket includes travel so you can go straight from the airport to Dortmund and back to Düsseldorf for nothing. Düsseldorf Aldstadt is brilliant for a night out by the way and plenty of good, reasonably priced hotels to choose from there. Ryanair fly to and from Dortmund from Stansted I think but there's not much going on in Dortmund bar the football to be honest. With regards to tickets they don't get put on general sale until close to the match date itself, the Darmstadt game for example last September I got my tickets 4 days before the game as that's when they went to general sale (Had to keep checking back as I didn't know when they were going on sale, could only find the sale date for members). You more than likely won't get a ticket on the 'Yellow Wall' but you should buy one in either of the corners next to it (Around €30) and just after kick off (When he stewards stop checking tickets for the entrances to the Yellow Wall) go in there, it's all old skool terracing with the safe standing at the back. When you enter the ground you can wander to any of the stands unlike say Villa Park when you go in the Holte, you're in the Holte. You can also email the club and ask for any spare tickets, they got back to me with one to pick up on matchday for the Wolfsburg game as it was all a very last minute idea to go. The only matches I imagine you may have trouble getting a ticket for are Schalke and Bayern. If you need any advice/information etc. on this I'd be happy to help, I've also been to St. Pauli in Hamburg (Including trips to the Reeperbahn), Bayern and I'm going to see Union Berlin in April (And hopefully another match if the schedules are good to me that weekend), love the Bundesliga.
