  1. I still use the forum but while certainly in the championship it's been a lot harder to see games unless you are an ST holder... anyways. My wife had a baby girl 2 years ago now is why I stopped posting. When I thought I may be able to get back to messing around on forums.. she got pregnant with twins lol. Villa definetly went on the back burner and overtime seems to be my place on a Saturday.. good luck to you all. Hope you keep the forum alive and maybe in 18 years time I may get over for a match 🙂
  2. Considering I live within walking distance to what's considered the city centre. 25 miles is a long enough commute for me lol. Though Kildare is the sticks for me, just like Wicklow or Meath. They are different counties so would be outskirts ?
  3. U were on a bus. Even get the express train it's less than 25 mins to the city centre
  4. Cheers Anne. On the outskirts of dublin, I don't think there is better, plus only 30mins from work. Prices are decent too
  5. I'm trying to buy a house in Newbridge, I think it's a great spot
  6. i wrote u a message but my phone been not an amazing phone seems to have dissed my message so therfore apparently i have wrote nothing. i wont go into much detail but i drifted into the life of donald trump and ended with a welcome back lol hope all is well man
  7. the accent of this lad would be inner city. sorta where the 2 accents meet lol
  8. the dublin accent is sorta broken into 2 different accents. some say its got to do with what side of the river u are born on. north or south. i spoke to an elderly lad there a few weeks back from northern ireland and he struggled to understand me lol though the feeling was mutual. a lot would say the north of dublin would have a more broader accent than the south. both sides of the river have there bad parts where more slang would be involved but other than that to me they are fairly the same. u have a posh accent or u dont. maybe the lad u were talkin to was just hammered lol
  9. fosters is horrible, then again u english drink carling lol. i suppose fosters aint that bad lol. u should be trying out the likes of belfast car bombs and drinking pitchers on yer tod lol. its all the rage in town. irish ppl especially when drunk will talk to anyone, so i wouldnt be battering an eyelid if a guy was saying such about my missus. we are just social lol. if u like lager try a pint of clonmel. its not easy to get in dublin as heineken pretty much own ever tap, but outside in the country its probs a lot easier
  10. i walk through it fairly often when im in town. handy way to get up to stephens green going around grafton street. hate that street. christmas party is normally in there too. its the only reason i know the prices lol
  11. theres a boozer in TB and they put the price up each hour after 2100 by 50 cent lol. i cant remember its name, its right across from the actual temple bar, bar lol
  12. i was just off temple bar on saturday and stopped off for a pint in the foggy dew. 5.80 i think it was and thats not really bad. go into TB and prices kick off at around 6.70 lol
  13. 5 euro. but we drink in the lounge. think in the bar its 4.80
  14. i read there was more ppl at the parade than st patricks parade. i didnt go into town mate, i was in there on saturday. yesterday i just went to a local and got hammered with a mate, it was jammed in there too. i am still nursing the hangover
  15. i dont remember the name of the places. but yeah one was on the harbour and the other was directly across from it. i was told afterwards that the owner owns both places. if u are in the area u cant miss them, seem like popular spots, both were jammed as the night went on
