    Summer Transfer Rumours 2018

Big news coming out of Villa Park. Sky sources: Jack Grealish will not be sold to anyone in this transfer window, despite interest from Tottenham and 'other clubs' this window. Sources are telling us Aston Villa's new executive chairman Nassef Sawiris has told Tottenham and any other potential suitors he is not interested in their money. from SSN App

    Summer Transfer Rumours 2018

Back after a couple of years to see if there's anything knocking about extra on the Grealish front as it's killing me not knowing either way. Seemingly we are waiting to hold out for £30-35m and playing Levy at his own game, the way I see it we have made the right movements with regards to FFP and are nowhere near the state that QPR were who got a fine which is currently being reduced anyway. We've shed around £10-15m just in wages, had around £10m come in in transfer fees and the EFL have given us the all clear to sign players, I'm just assuming that this means that we don't need to sell Grealish so we should only sell at top whack? Or am I being a bit optimistic??

    Is avillafan still your no.1?

I have been semi reguarly checking the Forum but have not posted in a long long time!! Apologies! My thoughts are that there is a magnitude of great content out there on other streams of social media that tackles the issues you'd normally take to a forum about. As much as it may pain you Stu, the lads a The Villa View are doing a cracking job and owe a lot to this page but offer a more streamlined interactive discussion platform than the forum. That said forum's are still a great place to air frustrations that I'm surprised the poster count has dropped.

The Parking / Match Day Travel Thread

I've always parked in the Astra Seal car park opposite the Tavern but it gets on your nerves getting out of that place as you can queue for hours!

    Gary Gardner

After watching him the last few weeks I don't think he's of good enough calibre to make it, as much as I want to see him do it I don't think he will. He is 24 now, should be maturing into the player he should always have been

Tony Xia: Who is our new chairman?

You're forgetting that Middlesborough side should have walked the Championship last year had it not been for Karanka, it was get promoted or go bust, they had Stewart Downing after he had had his best season since leaving us at West Ham, and a whole host of other expensive good players, they spent well over £40m plus the Additions of Valdes and Negredo, who are very good players Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Tony Xia: Who is our new chairman?

We should with Dr X's mooted financial clout be ripping the Championship to shreds and gaining automatic promotion this season. That for me should not be beyond us if we buy well. Minimum expectation is the play offs and anything else below that is complete failure in my book. Newcastle have lost some good players and replaced them with those of a lower standard while Norwich haven't improved much either. Derby and Brighton are decent but no more than that. I really don't think there's anything to be frightened of other than again relying on the same players last season that let us down so badly. Between now and the end of the transfer window I think that will be addressed with more players coming in with the right attitude to play alongside Ayew, Amavi, Baker, Grealish and so on. It's just a damn pity that we are still in a state of unreadyness for the start of the season but Burnley didn't win any of their first three games last season and they still were promoted. Good points, to be fair the likes of Grealish Ayew and Amavi should be tearing CS teams a new one week in week out!Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Operative word being should! On paper yes they should but the same can be said that last years team on paper shouldn't of gone down. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Hmm.. After watching that team I think they should have, perhaps I was more optimistic when we were signing all these prodigal French players but after watching some of them, even if it was the wrong system, the price we paid we should have got more out of them. That said we really should be fighting for first place with the Geordie cunts this year Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Genuinely think we have more than a good chance of securing promotion this year. And I think that's what we will be aiming for

Tony Xia: Who is our new chairman?

This is because this is a newly formed company registered in the UK for football league regs. That screenshot is taken from Companies House where it has newly been incorporated

    40 Jack Grealish

It's the rule that allows it to be abused, if that rule is scrapped (which it should be IMO) players wouldn't have this kind of aggravation.. I know I personally would have done the same, get experience wherever you can, at the end of the day it's your career and you should do whatever possible to make sure you have the best career possible.. Then again that's just my opinion, don't play him to be a mercenary or anything else, first and foremost he's a villain, whether he comes from England or f**cking Iraq, I couldn't give a toss, I just know that I support him, and the Villa!!!

    40 Jack Grealish

I really don't rate him, he's been portrayed in the image of Stevehh Gee, and that's another player I've never rated. Think Hendo is very passive on the field, and alright he can hit a ball, but if either of him or Stevie G were that good they'd be doing more than playing for Liverpool. Nothing can be said about his loyalty because he almost joined united chelsea etc, and either bottled it because he knew he wasn't good enough or was turned down in the end!
