Class Not a Villa fan, but witnessed the applause given to my team after we secured the Championship title last weekend at Villa Park. Villa has classy fans and they're missed in the PL. Best of luck in the play-offs, I think most Norwich fans will be quietly backing you.

Its not funny anymore Gary, the lunatics have taken over the asylum and they think they are the reasonable ones.

Sad and not surprised at some of the reactions. Seeing utter nonsense like polls for Smith in or out, "is the job actually too much for him?", , "what is JT doing?", "he needs to turn it round quick", "dont know about 'smith out', cos who can we get?" Like it should actually be f*cking discussed, as well as other crap. First bad spell and our fans are having a breakdown.

Was generally gutted when I heard the news. I know everyone always has their stories about people like Doug. From my time supporting Villa it was clear he loved the club and at the time seemed like he took the club as far as he could in the time. His desire to be there each and every week shows you everything you need to know about the man. Away from football, he helped so many charities, especially children charities in Birmingham. Something silly to some and a nothing story really but I will always remember going to a summer football camp and waiting for a bus. He drove past us and slowed down as me and my friends all had Villa colours on and made a point at waving at us. Something I know a lot of modern-day owners would even contemplate doing.

Another poor performance. Bailed out by another player the manager thinks it is OK to treat poorly. Looks as if he is starting to lose the dressing room. That is 6 wins in the last 17 league games now. That isn't promotion form.

Relying on individual brilliance, our only tactic. No other championship team can bring on Bolasie, Kodjia and Hourihane off the bench, it's ridiculous. Not good enough again.

19/06/2019 : Excellent news today regarding John Terry. The extension to 2021 shows ongoing commitment by JT and by AVFC too. This is the sensible way to manage the Club.

Agreed Elmo and Taylor will certainly Imo stay this season and I believe that at the end of the season they are then out of contract and they can then be released. To big a job to completely overhaul the squad this summer. But a good start has been made.

I think a lot of deals are all depending on holidays. Agents can only do so much without the players.

Aye Spurs is on SKY----Villa,s return getting mass worldly coverage--- THE VILLA ARE BACK!!!------------Thats Magic. let us know which one you choose----be nice to meet up again--- VTID-----------

Too much change can be a problem but we released players that were not always first choice in the championship and 4 of our first choice outfield players were on loan, we need to make more signings than is ideal but assuming we sell nobody else and we do sign Mings then eight of those who started at Wembley will still be here.

Back. Back in the premiership at last. A great club and we should never have gone down in the first place. Been a painful time with one thing and another. Now we come back stronger and harder. Today I saw passion and strength we are the Brummie lions after all. Next season is where we belong let's roar our intent. Come on the Villa cone on. Let's make the claret and blue to be once again a force to fear. The greatest teams will shake in their boots.

Just been reminiscing, 37 years ago this very minute I'd have been an hour into the 60 hour session that was Rotterdam, we got back into Brum about the same time the final whistle will go on Monday....here's to another Villa victory though I could do without it being quite so nervy at the end. Have a great day all you that are going, if the semi is anything to go by me and my kids will be part of a large contingent of Villans lifting the roof off the George Tapps here in Bournemouth. UTV

Can feel your frustration 100% mate. However, Villa Park has been toxic for a long time now. It has achieved nothing. We all love the Villa and all want the best regardless of our views. So why don't we just get behind the lads? What do we have to lose? We are loosing now anyway and what WE, AS FANS (myself included) currently do isn't helping anyone. Let me ask you a question and let's take Villa out of the equation. Let's say your son played for a pro club but their fans were toxic. Would you want him breaking through at that club knowing that the fans reaction could totally ruin his confidence and then career?
  24. 1 point
Fkin hang your heads in shame!!!! if you dont think he's had a good game then dont clap him off, no need for the boos, Its wankers like that we dont need at villa park. Boo's probably coming from fat, dyspraxic, idiots that couldnt kick a ball straight themselves!!!!
  25. 1 point
Maybe if our so called “amazing fan base” were more supportive during matches, players would feel more empowered and less terrified of making mistakes. It should be intimidating for the opponents, not our team. It’s not rocket surgery!

Some folk need to pull their heads out from up their arse, key injuries and no cover in the back positions have cost us dearly. None of that can be down to DS, that's down to bad luck and p*ss poor planning from the previous manager. Give the guy a chance ffs!
  27. 1 point
Happy new year eh haha Don't think were unlucky enough to lose Jack as well though. Please God.

I heard boos to but as you say most cheered. Were a bit of a poisonous club sometimes.

I can see us going for Rico Henry for left back. There's a lot of talk about it at the min and although it could be a lazy link I hope it's true. Cahill I'd have back in a heartbeat

41000+ for a midtable championship clash!!! the mind boggles, hope the players can realise what a club this is, and how privilidged they are to wear The Claret and Blue!!!, VTID------

He's done well at Brentford, be a bit different here but you could find reasons for not appointing most managers. The defence is such a mess I'd worry that any new manager will be dodging cabbages before he has chance to right it.
  35. 1 point
Most of the 'rest' played in the Premiership and not the Championship so i think its unfair to compare him to them.
  36. 1 point
I'm going to hazard a guess he meant the one on the Queslett Road. It's a bit of a stagger from Rugeley to Sutton.

Andy like you I have backed Bruce because of the the utter shambles the club was and the fact he stopped the rot.....but we have only one CB he seems to have any faith in, one LB he signed who he wont play and so many midfielders we could make 2 midfield units capable of competing at the top of this league. The squad is an unbalanced mess and that rests largely on Bruce. He seems to have a transfer policy that he is making up as he goes along with no eye to building a team.

Bristol City fan here with the local info for Friday week The bulk of the holiday season has been and gone now BUT the M5 from south of cheltenham can still get snarled up. So set out early if you can Coming by road use M4/M5 southbound to junction 18(Avonmouth) then follow signs A4 Bristol airport It looks the long way round but its quicker. Not a good idea to use M4/M32 YOU WILL GET LOST and its friday night rush hours Parking is normally in the streets around the area as long as you are there by 16:30pm please don't block drive ways or park on corners. Parking tickets were handed out for our last match against Sheffield United. Looks like train travel is NOT an option, unless your coming in from one of the stations in the Bristol areaIf you do use the train from where ever, please get the tickets issued to Parson Street as its push's up the footfall at the station although it is the same price as Bristol Temple meads Till Ashton gate halt comes on line. When you approach the ground from the winterstoke road direction I suggest you walk past wickes using the pavement as the concourse area behind the big new stand gets very congested with bodies UNLESS YOU WANT TO SEE THE JOHN ATYEO STATUE Split train tickets are available to Bristol from the London area as well as from Swansea/Cardiff area and group save is also availble on GWR trains, If there are at least three of you get a taxi from the Bristol Temple meads to the ground Make sure the taxi driver drops you in the Ashton Road end as it a very long walk round from the other end Casualty and Holby City were filmed in the City don't ask me about either of the programmes cos I think their both rubbish The young ones was also filmed in the BS7 area of the City(actually its Bishopston) Finally the block of flats on the left behind the dolman stand side as you are in the away end is "the" block of flats in "fools and horses" If your into your "STREET ART" there is loads to see in the Ashton area as we have just celebrated the upfest in BS3 Bring your camera and turn up early if you want to take any photo's Pubs possibly best one are in the cumberland road basin area novia scotia pump house and the cottage. Leave your car there and walk to the ground Buy your match day programme before you enter the away end. BBC Radio station is radio Bristol which has frequencies and 94:9 and DAB and 95:5. In 2017/18 3,106 aston villa fans visited Ashton Gateand the season before 2,551 villa fans made the trip I see the allocation this season is 2,700 and I don't think this will be changed A final reminder that there has been no pay on the day for any away fans this season or last season I don't think that will be changed,so please buy your tickets in advance Can you please circulate to other aston villa forums and message boards as well as other aston villa followers If you want any further local info, don't be afraid to ask.

Rotherham will be cock a hoop after their fine win over Derby, we must start winning the home games, and pick up a bit of momentum--forget a careful slow defensive approach-- lets concern ourselves not with fearing what they could do to us--but with imposing ourselves on them,i,d go with.--- Nyland Hutton Chester Axel Taylor Hourihane McGinn El Ghazi Jack Kodjia Abraham and bring Bolasie on for the final 35 minutes to run em ragged. Come On You Lions----------------- VTID

So much for improving from Yeovil like Bruce promised. Players out of position again and lumping the ball against 10 men. So far both keepers look a disaster. An experienced championship keeper wouldn't have been hard to sign but so far the signs are we fecked up. We don't have time to wait for either keeper to improve. Unbeaten at least but serious improvement needed.

Bad days ahead There was a meeting today apparently. Yet no statement released on what happened at it. It's disgusting how the fans are being kept in the dark at this terrible time. The worst time in the clubs history
