ASTON VILLA:
I was brought up a Villa fan. My dad is from North Birmingham which is Villa territory. I love our colours which are as close to unique as you'll get. I loved the old Trinity Road stand (thye greatest stand in the world). We still have a stadium to be proud of now, full of tradition and character even in this day and age. It's not just our ground as well. I love approacing the ground from the Holte End side, with the church on your right and Aston Hall on your left, and the Holte hotel. We are a traditional English club full of values.
HOME MATCH DAYS :
When the Holte is in full voice.
AWAY GROUND :
Wembley. It was a sh*thole but full of character and it was special goling there.
CHANT/SONG:
The bells are ringing for the claret and blue. Nowadays I would say our repertoire is quite poor and not very unique, but to me this is our anthem. I used to hear it quite regularly when I first started going down with my dad but it seems to have faded out. It sounds great when sung properly and it is a song unique to us.
BEST GAME:
vs Arsenal at Villa Park in December 1998. It was the season when we were top of the league from September until January (unfortunately we slipped away and ended up fifth). Arsenal were the previous seasons champions, and were second at that time behind us.They went 2-0 up at half time, we came back in the second half and won 3-2.
PLAYER:
Paul McGrath. Simple awesome.
THE FANS :
We seem to have standards and morals, unlike them knuckledraggers from down the road. Obviously you get a few tw*ts supporting every club, but we seem to have fewer than most.
IF THERES NO VILLA :
Shamefully, probably Blues.
CLUB OR COUNTRY :
A tough one but club. I am patriotic but the England squad is full of overpaid primadonnas who really couldn't give a sh*t about playing for their country.
EVERYONE SHOULD LOVE VILLA :
Like I've said, traditional club full of values and dignity.
