Songs from the Stands
The fans play a massive part in football and there's nothing more than we they all sing along together to a football chant. Here are some of the chants sung on the terraces at Villa Park. Some chants may include abusive language.
Traditional Chants

(To the tune of : When the saints go marching in)
Oh when the Villa,
Go marching in,
Oh when the Villa go marching in,
I wanna be, in that number,
Oh when the Villa go marching in.
-------------------- -------------------- --------------------
(To the tune of: The Streets Of Laredo - Johnny Cash)
As I walked out on the steps of the Holte End
As I walked on to the Holte end one Day
I spied a poor Bluenose all cut up in ribbons
Cut up in Ribbons and shit on they say
I said to that Blues fan what have they done to you
And why have they treated you in such a way
He said sir my crime is to go up the Holte end
And say that the Villa were old men of Grey
The Holte End daint like it they came up to fight it
They kicked in his knackers and kicked in his head
Now that poor Blues fan is pushing up daisies
Pushing up daises because he is now dead
So let that be a lesson to all of you Blues fans
who come to the Villa to sing and to pray ,
you say one word against our Aston Villa,
And they will be the last words you fucking say.
-------------------- -------------------- --------------------
(To the tune of: The Blayden Races)
Nigel Spink rolls the ball to Platty
Platty on to Paul McGrath
