What's the ground like?

Riverside Stadium is a fairly new stadium as it was only built in 1995. And already they have built on the original design by filling all the corners in on the stadium.

The ground seems to lack character and they have a very poor support from home fans.

Directions

Take the A19 all the way to Middlesbrough, until the junction with the A66, south of the River Tees. Turn right onto the Northern Route and follow for two miles.

Exit the A66 when you see the sign for St Hilda's and take the first left exit off the roundabout. Follow through to traffic lights into Dockside Road. The stadium is on the right hand side.

Parking

There is no parking available around the actual ground, however there is plenty or places to park away from the ground.

If you take the second exit of the A66, and after the roundabout turn right, you will come across a Sainsburys on Denmark Street. The offer a pay and display car park and they do allow football fans to park here.

There's is plenty of street parking around Queens square and other areas in Middlesbrough as long as you don't mind a little walk to the ground. Alcohol is served inside the ground.

Away Fan's Experience

Fans are usually located in the South Stand, and are usually allocated around 4,000 tickets. This is a fairly modern stadium so its pretty decent and they offer a wide variety of refreshments.

Middesbrough don't take to kind to smoking in the ground and people have been known to be kicked out for it without being warned.

Where to drink

The Navigation - This is around a ten minute walk from the ground, but be aware they have a strick no away fans aloud in this pub. Away fans have been known to get in without colors, but we have been told that fans shouldn't be offended if they are refused entry.

Dr Browns - This pub is located on Mortan Road and is a highly recommended family pub. And for a added bonus fast food restaurants Mcdonalds and Pizza Hut are located just over the road from this pub.
