What's the ground like?
Old Trafford is the biggest stadium in the premiership and it is full around 95% of match days. It is the stadium all away fans love to visit.
The United fans can make a lot of noise here but don't tend to unless its a high profile match.
Directions
Leave the M6 at Junction 19 and follow the A556 towards Altrincham. This will lead you onto the A56 towards Manchester.
Keep on the A56 for six miles and then you will come to see Sir Matt Busby Way on your left. The ground is half a mile down this road on your left, although on match days this road may well be closed to traffic.
Parking

There are lots of private car parks near the ground. The largest is probably at Old Trafford Cricket Ground, where it costs £5. Car parking at Salford Quays costs £3, and you will find that you are likely to get away easier. Alternatively, you could park in Altrincham or Eccles and tram it in.

Away Fan's Experience

Away fans are housed at the south east corner, where around 3,000 fans can be seated. The views from this corner are excellent. For cup games, away fans will be housed in the upper tier of the east stand (if demand requires), where around 6,500 fans can be seated.
The away seats are set back from the pitch, as the disabled section is located in front. Also, the rows of seats are quit tight and compact, however this improves the atmosphere.
There are a number of refreshment kiosks inside, though with a fairly limited range of food.
Where to drink

There are no designated 'away' pubs at Old Trafford, and the pubs around the ground generally won't let you in if you're wearing colors. Therefore, your best idea is either to drink in the city center, or get off at one of the tram stops before/after Old Trafford and drink there. Altrincham is an area served by tram, and comes recommended as a decent place to drink before going to the game.
