Blackburn Rovers - Ewood Park

Ewood Park

Nuttall Street

Lancashire

Capacity: 31,367
Map: Multimap

What's the ground like?

From the outside Ewood Park looks pretty impressive but small. As a very clean feel to the ground.

Once inside, its very clean and modern. The only problem i would have is the lack of noise at the stadium. The home fans are very disappointing.

Directions

Leave at M6 - junction 29, then onto the M65 towards Blackburn - leave the M65 at Junction 4 (A666) and follow signs towards Blackburn.

Turn right at the first set of traffic lights and Ewood Park is about 1 mile down the road on the right hand side.

Parking

A number of private car parks operate on match days around Ewood, the average price is around £3.00.

If you head towards the ground off the motorway you will pass a number of car parks. Obviously, the further away you park, the easier it will be to get away.

Away Fan's Experience

Away fans are housed at the Darwen End (behind one of the goals). They are usually located in one half of the lower tier, though if demand requires the whole of the upper tier will be allocated as well. If a team proceeds to sell this largest allocation, then the whole of the Darwen End will be allocated to the visiting fans.

An away ticket office is located at the corner of the Darwen End and Jack Walker stand, and you can usually buy on the day, due to the large allocation available.

Facilities at Blackburn are fairly decent. Alcohol is available on the concourse, and a wide range of food is available, such as burgers, pies, chips and hotdogs.

Where to drink

The Fernhurst - This is the main 'away pub', and is virtually opposite the away end, on the Bolton Road. The Fernhurst is a large pub, with pool tables and big screens showing Sky Sports. However, I found the beer to be fairly poor, and served in plastic glasses (somewhat understandable though).
