What's the ground like?

Now some may think im a little bias but St Andrews is one of the worst stadiums in the league. Its very dated and is in need of some attention.

When they do make noise however it does sound pretty impressive. We advice you don't take u-16's when Birmingham play Aston Villa and is can be a very nasty place to visit.

Directions

Leave the M6 at Junction 6 and take the A38(M) (Aston Expressway). Take the second exit. At the roundabout along Dartmouth Middleway, take the first exit.

After about a mile, turn left into St. Andrew's Street.

Parking

There is a small car park located at the ground and on Garrison Lane. There is also street parking available.

Please note. It is not recommended that Villa fans park close to the ground with Villa colors. on show, as your car could be left in danger.

Away Fan's Experience

Away fans are housed in the lower tier of the Railway Stand. The allocation is normally 3,000, but this can be increased to 4,500 for cup games if demand is high.

The view from the away end is ok, but be aware of home supporters. They tend to like throwing flying objects and are able to get away with it.

Where to drink

If you don't want trouble then don't drink around St Andrews in your Villa colors. With this being a local derby i don't think i need to explain why. Many Aston Villa fans tend to drink around Villa Park before making there way to the ground from there.

Brighton Pub - Located on the Coventry road as is about 10 minutes walk from St Andrews. They will only allow small numbers of away supporters.
