FIFA 14 – Aston Villa player rating predictions.

10

With the release of FIFA 14 just over a month away, it’s time to look at which Villa players I think warrant an increase and decrease in rating, based on their performances from last season.

This list only includes players who were previously on the FIFA 13 database.

Overall squad rating improvements = 52

A lot of our youngsters and new signings were underestimated on FIFA 13; with most of these players proving their worth in the Premier League and other players shining last season, there is reason enough as to why many of our players should receive significant increases, but will FIFA acknowledge this?

Do you agree with my predictions? Comment below.

  1. Think you’re being rather optimistic there – FIFA rarely gives non-PL based players decent ratings so ok pre will probably stay as he is, and they don’t seem to actually watch football either, so chances are we’ll still have crap gabby and really slow Andi and Benteke will be 80 at best (if he’d gone to spurs it’d be a different story though)

  2. Very optimistic. The ratings are based on how villa did last season. I have access to the ratings. The main players ratings are:

    Guzan – 79
    Lowton – 74
    Vlaar – 76
    Clark – 73
    Okore – 73
    Baker – 71
    Delph -71
    Luna 71
    Westwood – 71
    Sylla – 68
    Gardner – 69
    Bent – 79
    Gabby – 73
    Weimann – 74
    Benteke – 79

    • I somehow don’t believe that Gabby will still be a silver card, and according to you he goes down 1 rating after having a good season. Do you really know the ratings?

  3. I have no reason to lie, they can’t make villa a 4 star team after the season we had so average rating has to stay at a certain level. Meaning to increase benteke vlaar has gone down. Its not fair, but those are the ratings

  4. FIFA was actually better than Pro Evo for two years in 10-12. It’s now crap and predictable. FIFA is football for accountants, who want to do the most rational, boring think and bank the rewards. Pro Evo is still an artform, beautiful, stupid but fundamentally fun. Here’s to hoping Konami blow that frustrating pace humping rubbish out of the water with their next gen game and bring the fun back. Also agree that FM2014 will likely give us decent potential ratings, even if our starting stats are average, we know FM love potential and youth.

  5. personally I imagine the rating will go something like this:
    Guzan – 78
    Lowton – 74
    Vlaar – 74
    Baker – 73
    Clark – 70
    Bennet – 68
    Sylla – 71
    Gardner – 69
    Westwood – 76
    Gabby – 77
    Weimann – 77
    Benteke – 80

if you have any other ideas i’d be happy to hear them

  6. I think these rating are fair considering the season villa had especially towards the end of last season and now starting the new league season 🙂

    Guzan – 78
    Lowton – 75
    Vlaar – 77
    Baker – 74
    Clark – 72
    Bennet – 68
    Sylla – 71
    Gardner – 69
    Westwood – 76
    Gabby – 77
    Weimann – 77
    Benteke – 81

Also I think new signings will get boosts, i can only speculate but 2 new danes had great last season so hopefully:

    Helenius – 70-73
    Okore – 71

Am open to suggestions but i dont think ive been unfair on any of the afore mentioned players 🙂 hope you guys would agree. would be nice to hear your thoughts on the other new sighnings aswell as i dont know enough about hem to make a good prediction 🙂
