Ian Taylor will be remembered as the Stan Petrov or Ashley Westwood of his generation. Tayls commanded the Villa midfield after moving o his childhood club back in December 1994. He will be remembered as one of the members of the 1996 League Cup winning squad.
Since his playing days finished, Ian’s reputation and charm have opened up many doors to new ventures for the former Villa man.
From commentating with AVTV to creating his own company in Stadia Sports with former Blues player Michael Johnson, he keeps going from strength to strength.
iT7 Was Born
Ian has also gone on to produce his own audio range with the help of BlueChip World, iT7. The iT7 audio range has been created by the former Premiership footballer and has been developed to bring the highest possible standards of manufacture, features and sound quality to the consumer. The key principles of the brand are to grow a strong portfolio of robust, fashion-driven Bluetooth products that have energy, vibrancy and innovation at their core.
AvillaFan had the honour of being one of the first sites to review his products and a meeting was arranged with the man himself. Tayls entered the room with a huge smile on his face, as did I: I was meeting one of my favourite Villa players and was a bag of nerves. Tayls, being the charmer he is, soon made me feel at ease; we soon got down to business and discussed how Ian and Stadia Sports came to create the iT7 range.
As you know, I went off to Hong Kong with the Villa for the Asia tournament. I went there to do a bit of business there for myself as well.
Whilst out there we bumped into some guys who were Villa fans. One gent had his own local business producing audio equipment and asked if I would like to come along to look at what he was producing.
We met up and he showed me what he had to offer. The quality of the stuff was amazing. The chance arose that we could do some business with Stadia Sports and Bluechip. All we had to do was go away and produce the logo. The logo which we came up with, is on all the iT7 range.
It was a great honour to meet the big guy himself and discuss what has turned into a great venture by the up-and-coming entrepreneur.
It has not gone unnoticed that a large number of celebs are getting their hands on the must have audio product, ranging from another Villa legend Juan Pablo Angel, England football team to the X-Factor finalists. Ian was also on Sky programme Soccer AM, where he discussed all manner of things from his beloved Villa to developments with his audio range .
Since then, Ian and BlueChip World have held a number of launches for his iT7x2 headphones which have been received in a hugely positive manner, producing an excellent status within the audiovisual industry. His audio range is one that competes with the likes of Dr Dre’s Beats.
The iT7x2 wireless headphones incorporate the latest technology with Bluetooth 4.0 and feature the Cambridge Silicon Radio (CSR) aptX® chipset which delivers a stable and crystal clear reproduction of your favourite tunes. Wonderfully comfortable over-ear cans plus truly breathtaking drivers mean that you can relax and get lost in your music.

Ergonomically designed with well-placed audio controls, which include volume and skip track buttons along with quick pause, mean that the iT7x2s are a joy to use. They have a unique and stylish look with real fashion appeal: the headphones are available in matt cyan blue, matt hot pink, matt tangerine plus matt black as well as gloss finishes in both black and white.
