  1. A left back that helped Mallorca get relegated with Hutton last season, Think we can do better than that… But i hope im wrong!!

  2. Nobody can say we have not done our homework when it comes to signing/scouting players, Those who write avfc off this coming season do so at there own peril.

  3. All credit to pl for the quick start on bringing in more youngsters for the start of the new campaign, and good to see PL is being backed by RL about time

  4. Dave in answer to your question “does nobody sleep at villa park at this point I don’t believe they do.

  5. Luna is already recorded as a Villa player on Wikipedia – signed on a 4 year deal.

I fancied a left back would be on Lambert’s list to offer an option on Bennett/Stevens. Another young and ‘hungry’ player it would seem.

I am glad Learner has backed the manager and let him purchase before selling. This lets him assemble the squad ready for pre-season.

Despite the reports of five new players scheduled to arrive (including Helenius), I suspect another goalie could follow if Given goes, especially with Marshall’s release. Then it is spring sale time – I fancy as many as a further eight could go, although it will probably end up a couple shy of that.

  6. Lambert is addressing the squad weaknesses and showing that he has learnt from our (and his) failings last season. Can’t say I’m over the moon about Luna (sorry, couldn’t resist) but I do trust our scouting network these days which shows how far we’ve come. Just need a solid season under our belts (no more relegation battles) and I feel we will finally be on the verge of something special, at last…

  7. Bit underwhelmed by this one but I felt the same when we signed Benteke. Interesting one. Gotta trust Lambo on this one.

  8. Im just happy were getting our business Done early so the squad got a whole preseason together unlike the martin oneill days when we signed the left overs in august

  9. Happy we’r getting bodies in but watched most of mallorcas games last season as my housemate is a mallorca fan, wasn’t all too impressed with Luna I think its 50/50 with benett over who gets left back for next season. Would love to see mallorcas dmc Pina signed up before Valencia or Seville get their hands on him!
