Villa Go Dawkins Mad

Aston Villa made a late-night transfer move for 25 year old winger Simon Dawkins.

Simon suffered a major blow early on in his career with a knee injury which seriously threatened his career with the game.

Willpower & backbreaking work got Simon re-signed at Tottenham Hotspur & has spent just under two years with MLS team San Jose on loan.

After spending a successful spell last season, Simon is now ready to show the rest of the world, he is hungry to play with the big boys in the Premier League & help Villa pull away from the relegation zone.

Simon seems an enthusiastic & strong minded individual, who will not waste anytime showing Villa fans those two years tough grind with The Earthquakes was all for nothing.

“I worked for two years to get over my injury and regain my fitness and now I’m really
Simon_Dawkinsmotivated to make the most of this opportunity at Villa,” said Dawkins whose squad number will be 24.

“Tottenham have been great with me and the past two seasons with San Jose have really kick-started my career. I never lost my belief and everything I’ve been through has made me stronger mentally as a player and as a person.

“I’m really focussed on what I need to do for the rest of this season and I’m looking forward to training with my new team-mates ahead of a big game against Everton this weekend.”

  1. Not a world beater by any imagination but this kid is motivated and seems to have a fire lit under him so I can only imagine that will be a great thing for the team as on the face of it we need players with a burning desire to fight

  2. Villa can,t afford massive wages,so hopefully these guys can add something extra, because by god we need all the help we can get.Malouda from chelsea would have been a good buy or loan, his experience would have been massive for the younger players!(wages permitting!)and save him from rotting in Chelsea reserves.

  3. The transfer window has now shut and we now know how commited Lerner is to the club, a player from the lower reaches of the french second division and a player from spurs reserves ON LOAN. Just 1.75m spent to save us from relegation ! Time to go Mr Lerner, shut the door on your way out you clown.

  4. I myself am one for seeing the positive, to the point of giving myself false hope “these two signings really could change things”… Well, that’s really wearing thin! Dawkins looks decent in the 3 min clip you can find, not convinced proof of a savour though. I think it will lift the team but feel I need to pray for it to be enough!!

  5. Dawkins is perfect for Villa. Championship level player for a Championship team. Today’s latest capitulation seals Villa’s fate for me. Just go ahead and relegate us now.
