Why Aston Villa will stay up this season

It has been a mixed start to the season for Aston Villa, and that has seen the odds on them being relegated back to the Championship plummet over the early weeks of the season.

However, things are looking up, and if you’re looking for somewhere new to sign up have a read of this review of 32red Sports one of the UK’s lesser-known betting sites. They are the best place to get the ultimate value on your bet for the Villa to stay in the Premier League after a turbulent start to the campaign.

Villa have recovered from a mediocre start to the season and the plan of Dean Smith looks to be working if recent performances are something to judge the Villains by. The 5-1 win over Norwich City before the international break could be a turning point in the season. The club now sits 15th in the table. Not only was the big win a welcome sight, but it plunged the Canaries into a deeper position in the league table. There were signs during the performance that should get Villa fans excited for the coming weeks, but what highlights that there is a strong chance that we will be seeing Smith’s side in the top-flight again next season?

Wesley Form

It has taken a while, but we finally got to see the Villa’s new Brazilian in his best form in the recent win over Norwich. He scored a brace in the big win, which has silenced any fans that may have been questioning whether he was good enough to play at this level.

The was unfortunate not to have gotten his hat-trick in the game too, as he saw his spot-kick saved, before a brilliant second save from the goalkeeper. However, four goals in eight games to start his career in the Premier League is a welcome sight.

Midfield Threat

McGinn is massive for VillaThe big asset that the Villa have is their quality in the middle of the park. The pick of three so far this season has been John McGinn, who is undoubtedly a star in the making.

The energetic midfielder is the life of this Villa side, and as long as he remains fit, they will have a great chance of staying in the division. The Scot has scored three goals in his eight outings so far this season, with the most notable of those coming in the Villa’s game at Tottenham Hotspur. Ultimately the Villa went on to lose that game, but his goal was a perfect example of the threat that this side has.

Defensive Unit

Over recent weeks there has been a lot of changing around in the backline by Smith as he tries to find the perfect formula. But, he seems to have found the right mix judging by the last outing in the league.

Matt Targett was brilliant throughout, while Tyrone Mings could be a star in the making. The big question was how the club were going to fill the void left by Axel Tuanzebe, but Bjorn Engels looks like he is that man

We are no longer interested in selling our star players. The players are buying into the whole ethos of the club, & can see where the club are heading. It has really been a boost to have a Villa supporter as our manager, if you look at some of our happiest times, Big Ron, Brian Little, John Gregory, all with Villa connections.

With the current owners, Christian Purslow, Suso,Dean, Richard, JT & Co everybody is pushing in the same direction. John Terry could easily have walked away from the club, but even he can feel that something big is happening. Has the sleeping giant been woken? & let’s be honest he has had enough sleep. Jump on because the next 3-5 years is going to be a real eye opener.

53 years I have been going to Villa park & not since Ron Saunders walked through the door have I felt so optimistic. UTV
