Aston Villa welcomes Fulham to Villa Park today as the two teams meet at 3 pm in the EFL Championship.

The home side will be looking to bounce back from the 2-0 defeat to the very impressive Wolverhampton Wanderers last weekend. Steve Bruce’s men are undefeated at Villa Park so far this season winning and drawing three apiece. Villa finds themselves sitting in seventh position just a point outside the playoff positions.

Fulham will be hoping to build on their current four matches unbeaten run (W2, D2). They have a very impressive away record so far this season, with only Wolves having a better record than them. Slaviša Jokanović’s men are just behind Villa in the league table (9th) and two points off the playoffs.

Both Jack Grealish and Henri Lansbury are closing on a return to the first team but it is thought that today’s game against Fulham will come too early. Both are expected to feature in the u21 game on Monday against Reading.

Mile Jedinak is described as making ‘good strides’ by Bruce so I would read presume that he is still unavailable. Gabriel Agbonlahor has a calf tear so will be out for a little longer yet. Neil Taylor is still missing through suspension.

Fulham captain Tom Cairney could start after he made a cameo appearance in last weeks game at Preston following a lengthy lay-off. Left-back Rafa Soares has recovered from an ankle injury so will hope to feature.

On-loan Liverpool winger Sheyi Ojo will be out for six weeks with a dislocated shoulder.

  • Aston Villa has only failed to beat Fulham at Villa Park once in their last sixteen meetings (W8, D7).
  • Fulham has scored a goal in the 85th minute in each of their last four league games.
  • Aston Villa hasn’t lost in eight home league games.
  • Stefan Johansen has created more chances for his teammates than any other midfielder in the Championship this season – so far.

There are still tickets available with around 28,000 expected at Villa Park.

Adults tickets are available from £20, Under 16’s from £5. Purchase tickets here.
