Are these the 2014-15 Aston Villa kits?

With the takeover talk quietening down recently, attention has turned towards the kit launch. Earlier this week, Aston Villa and Counteract Magazine unveiled the line-up for the Aston Villa Kit Launch Festival 2014, which will take place on June 14th and 15th, which is Fathers’ Day weekend.

The kit launch festival features live music from local bands, alcohol, children’s activities, chances to meet some old Aston Villa favourites and more.

The details of the kit launch festival have turned many people’s attention towards next season’s kits and given rise to speculation regarding what they will look like. There has been much talk about a new kit maker. However, I expect Villa to stick with Macron, as Villa signed a deal with the Italian company that is scheduled to last until May 2016.

Back at the beginning of May, Luke Marshall posted on our forum, offering fans a few kit designs that had been leaked on the internet.

Luke had a play with these mock-up designs and came up with the following shirts:

As always, Villa officials will keep their cards close to their chest but that doesn’t stop us speculating nor does it prevent Luke spending some time on Photoshop.

You cannot have failed to notice that the away kit is inspired by the shirt worn by our European Cup winning side in 1982. I like the retro designs Luke has put together and wouldn’t be too disappointed should we end up with these, or similar, kits next season. We won’t have too long to wait to see the new home kit, which will be unveiled online on Monday June 2nd.

  1. if they don’t get a new owner and manager soon they will be giving them away with a packet of cornflakes along with season tickets.

  2. See loads of people moaning about the pinstrip but like it personally. Macron it is so hopefully they won’t have put all their effort into their new pals at Bolton’s kits. Hoping the quality improves too but probably won’t.
